MEC first team selection Aurreeshae Hines led the Jackets with 20 points — 10 in the third. Sophomore guard Jordan Miller had 17.
Ahead 31-21 at the half, State had four perfect 3-pointers in the third period and a lead of 55-38 over the past MEC champs.
The Jackets play Notre Dame at 2:15 Saturday in the semifinals. If they make the finals, the championship game will be at 1 p.m. Sunday.
