Woes Continue for the Men

Cross town rival UC were the last game of the regular season for the Yellow Jackets. February has not been the month for West Virginia State. Heading into their contest against the Golden Eagles with a record of 0-7 in the month of February.

The contest started out back and forth between the two teams. Until around seven minutes to go in the game. At this point the Golden Eagles took the lead and never looked back. Going into halftime with a score of 46-34.

 

The Yellow Jackets will face West Virginia Wesleyan at 8:15 p.m., February 28th at the Charleston Civic Center.

 

The second half didn’t ease up on the Yellow Jackets. Cutting the lead to six points on three different occasions. Improving on their shooting from the first half and even scoring more in the second half than the Golden Eagles. But to no avail.

Receiving their eighth lost in a row. Pat Johnson-Agwu finished the game with 16 points, one steal, one block and five rebounds. Jerry Moore finished with 15 points, one steal, three blocks and 10 rebounds.
