Weekend Buzz – March Downtown for Celtic Fest; Dress For Success


  • 4th Annual Celtic Calling Gathering— Get your Irish on at one of the top cultural events in the Southeast Friday through Sunday at venues in downtown Charleston. Live music, dancing, a 5K run and 2K walk, as well a sheep petting zoo. View the schedule of events each day at celticcalling.org.
  • Dress for Success–Learn the do’s and don’ts of how to dress in the corporate world. Win door prizes for interview attire while enjoying free mocktails and appetizers. Sunday at 6 p.m, at the Wilson Student Union.
  • Sunday Concert at St. John’s–Join pianist Gerald Lee for some family-friendly music at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1105 Quarrier St., Charleston. This concert is free, although donations are accepted.
  • Valuing West Virginia Water Resources with Ecosystem Services–join Michael P. Strager, Professor of Spatial Analysis at the West Virginia University Davis College of Agriculture for his presentation on WV’s water resources. Attendees are asked to RSVP by emailing the Research Office at research.office@wvstateu.edu. This will be held in the State Integrated Research and Extension Building, Conference Rooms A & B on Friday from 1-2 p.m.
