The West Virginia State University Yellow Jackets beat Concord 33-23 Saturday at Athens, improving their Mountain East Conference (MEC) record to 3-0. State is 3-1 overall.
Coach John Pennington’s team returns to Institute Saturday to play its annual homecoming game. The Jackets will face West Liberty at 1 p.m. The Hilltoppers are 2-2 in the MEC.
