Jacket 2 Yellow Jacket is a new organization on campus for mentors and mentees to cultivate and encourage productivity in students.
Mentors are students already on campus and successfully navigating academic life.
The mentor helps fellow students by being a confidant and easing the transitional process for freshmen and transfer students.
Mentors offer guidance and motivate students to go out and engage themselves on campus and in the community. Mentees have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and make new friends.
To qualify to be a mentor you must meet the following requirements:
- Cumulative GPA 2.5 or higher
- 2nd semester sophomore or higher
- Must be committed to helping our fellow students.
If you are interested in becoming a mentor or mentee, you can contact the organization founder and president, Taja Price at tprice9@wvstateu.edu.
