After a brave battle with leukemia for more than a year, former Yellow Jacket baseball player Justin Graham passed away on Wednesday.
The Morehead, Kentucky native was a sophomore outfielder before withdrawing from school in order to fight the illness.
Following a 2017 diagnosis of cancer, there was an outpouring of support on campus, along with his family and friends back in Kentucky.
Condolences on social media included former teammate Zack Castro on Instant gram. “God gained an amazing person and baseball player today,” he said. “His smile lit up anyplace he was. You couldn’t help but be in a good mood when he was around.”
A gofundme.org page was originally set up to help Graham and his family cover the medical bills that raised nearly $25,000.
Arrangements are pending.
