All Yellow Jackets are encouraged to attend the 2019 African-American Read-In from 10:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. on Thursday in the Davis Fine Arts Building. State’s College of Arts and Humanities is celebrating Black History Month by recognizing important African-American artists that transformed literature, art, music, and entertainment.
You have the opportunity to listen, read, and discuss these accomplishments through public readings of poetry, essays, short stories, and children’s books by African-American authors. A choir concert and solo musical selections will happen between 12:30p.m. and 1:30p.m.
The event is free and open to the public. Please be advised that some subject matter may be sensitive in nature.
