Joshua Means was a very active undergraduate student — Student Government Association vice president, honors program president, Executive Committee student representative. Today the graduate student relies on that experience to give back to the WVSU community as Coordinator of the aptly named Student Success Center.
The center offers workshops on Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word. Workshops on study skills, paper writing and time management. Referrals to tutoring, counselors and student support services.
Means said the challenge of his job is “you cannot help everyone, even when you have the passion for it. But the center will always be open for them when they are ready.”
Students can drop by the center from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Wallace Hall on the first floor by the elevators.
