Womens Tennis Roll to Win at Davis and Elkins


ELKINS, W.Va. – The Yellow Jacket Women’s Tennis Team picked up their second win of the season, 7-0 at Davis and Elkins.

​The Yellow Jackets swept the doubles play to score the doubles point, with Laura Isbey and Kierstin Hensley winning 6-1at #1 doubles, Kayla McKnight and Hanna Kruhlova winning 6-0 at #2 doubles, and Chante Malo and Sydney Miller closing out doubles play with a 6-2 win. 

​Reigning two-time MEC Player of the Year Laura Isbey cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win at #1 singles, while Hensley, McKnight, and Kruhlova won at #2, #3, and #4 singles by the same score. Malo edged out a 6-4, 6-4 win at #5 singles, and Nika Tadic closed out the day with a 6-0, 6-0 win at #6 singles. 

​“Everyone played really good,” said Kruhlova. “We all had pretty good matches, and we all stayed concentrated and didn’t give up very many games.” 

​The Yellow Jackets next play Saturday, when they travel to Cal. Pa.
