Fake Emails From Jenkins Phishing Attempts To Infect Computers

If you see an email from President Jenkins without the “@wvstateu.edu” DO NOT OPEN IT”.  Delete immediately. Hackers are phishing for access to your computer and ultimately University computer systems.

The fake emails end in “@my.com,” with a subject line “Urgent@. They are not official emails being sent by me or the Office of the President.  Jenkins sends emails only through his official State account.  The University’s Office of Information Technology is aware of this email phishing attempt and has reported the abuse to the domain registrant. If you did respond by email to either of the phishing attempts, as a precaution you should change your password. This can be done at: https://mystate.wvstateu.edu/pls/wvsuprod/wvsuchngpass.p_userIdentity
