On-air director at WOWK news, our own Steven Hoffman, will congratulate communications students on their achievements at the Media Summit at 12:15 p.m. April 19, room 210 in the Cole Complex.
Also, the 2016 graduate will share with students how internships and training played a role in his professional career.
“The media summit is an event that the communications department organizes every year for the students to reflect back on their past assignments and for professors to congratulate them,” said Ali Ziyati, communications professor.
All students and alumni are invited.
“The students graduating this semester will be congratulated and celebrated at this event. We also throw in some jokes and chuckle some,” Ziyati said.
The student awards are film, screenwriting, radio, TV, journalism, PR and theatre. Candidates for these awards are chosen by the professors in their field.
