State Smashes Tournament Records in 110-76 Win Over Wesleyan.

State will face West Liberty at 6 p.m. Friday after overwhelming West Virginia Wesleyan 110-76 Wednesday in a record-setting first round game of the MEC tournament.

Junior forward Pat Johnson-Agwu had 32 points. Forward Robert Fomby added 16 and Jahlen Greene 15. Langston Cooke had 10 assists.

The Yellow Jackets broke MEC tournaments records for points scored in a game with 110, breaking West Liberty’s record of 107. State’s field goal percentage of .646 topped the Wheeling Jesuit record of .642.

The Yellow Jackets led Wesleyan 55-34 at the half on blistering 71% shooting from the floor. Johnson-Agwu has 22 of his 32 points on 11-12 shooting.
