State faces second road test of young season at Notre Dame

The Yellow Jacket Football team travels to South Euclid, Ohio this weekend to face the MEC #1 ranked team, the Notre Dame Falcons. Notre Dame topped State 47-35 in their 2017 meeting.

​State picked up their first win of the season last Saturday in the first home game of the 2018 season, topping UVA-Wise 33-12 behind strong rushing performances from Calil Wilkins and Dylan Lucas. 

​Wilkins is currently second in the Mountain East Conference in rushing with 273 yards on 46 carries, with two touchdowns. Lucas also sits ninth in rushing in the conference with 180 yards on 20 carries and a touchdown. 

​Tyrell Henderson is currently the top receiver for the Yellow Jackets with 11 receptions for 163 yards, and a touchdown. Zach Pate also has 13 receptions for 124 yards. 

​Tevon Littleton is currently the top defensive performer for the Yellow Jackets with 16 total tackles, and an interception. Moises Valcarcel is one tackle behind Littleton with 15 tackles. 

​Kicker Aaron Ball is three for four on his field goals on the season, with his lone miss being a blocked kick against UVA-Wise.

​Backup quarterback Faustino Saucedo is set to continue to replace injured starter Austin Hensley.
